What to Expect

Arrival

  • Check in and relax in the reception or lounge area at Studio 55.

  • If you haven’t completed your forms online, we’ll have you fill them out before we begin.

  • Your esthetician will greet you upon your appointment time and walk you to the treatment room.

During Your Appointment

  • We’ll start with a quick consultation to confirm your service, preferences, and answer any questions.

  • If you are receiving a bikini service, your wax specialist will ask you to undress from the waist down before getting on the treatment bed. This allows them to work efficiently and prevents wax from getting on your clothing or undergarments. You’re in professional, judgment-free hands!

  • From there, your specialist will guide you step-by-step through the process so you always know what's happening.

  • Our services are quick, hygienic, and much more comfortable than most people expect.

After Your Service

  • Your skin will be soothed with calming post-wax products.

  • We will review simple aftercare and at-home tips to keep your skin smooth and irritation-free.

  • Before you go, we’ll help you schedule your next visit to keep your wax routine on track!

How to Prepare

  • Let your hair grow: let your hair grow to about ¼ inch or 3 to 4 weeks of hair growth (no shaving).

  • Exfoliate gently: exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment to help prevent ingrowns.

  • Do not exfoliate the day of your wax: skin will be too sensitive.

  • Arrive with clean, dry skin: no lotions, oils, deodorant, or self-tanner.

  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol: the day of your wax — they can make skin more sensitive.

  • Wear comfy, loose clothing: this helps to avoid irritation after your service.

  • And most importantly — don’t stress. We’ll walk you through everything and make sure you feel comfortable the whole time.

Lets talk about the question everyone’s secretly Googling…

How bad does a Brazilian Wax actually hurt???

We get it — this is the question. And yes, you’ll feel it… but it’s quick. Each strip is just a quick sting, not a lasting pain, and the whole service takes no more than 15 minutes from start to finish. Most people say the anticipation is worse than the actual waxing.

Your esthetician keeps the skin tight (which helps a ton), uses high-quality wax, and talks you through the whole process. The first time is usually the most intense because the hair is thicker, but it gets way easier and less painful when you wax consistently.

By the time you’re thinking “Wait, that’s it?” — you’re done. Smooth for weeks. Totally worth it.
