Yes! Brow waxing is safe for sensitive skin as long as the right products and techniques are used. We use gentle wax formulated for delicate facial areas, and apply soothing products after to calm any redness. If you have sensitive skin, just avoid retinol or harsh exfoliants for a few days before your appointment and let your esthetician know—so we can take extra care and keep your skin happy.

An eyebrow wax typically takes about 15-20 minutes from start to finish. That includes a quick consultation, shaping, waxing, tweezing any stray hairs, and applying soothing aftercare.

Most people get their eyebrows waxed every 3 to 4 weeks. This allows the hair to grow long enough for clean removal while keeping the shape fresh. If your hair grows faster or you like a very defined brow, you might come in closer to every 2 weeks. Slower growers or those maintaining a natural shape may go 4–6 weeks between appointments.

A little—but only for a second! Think quick pinch, not full-on torture. Most people say it’s more of a “wow, that was fast” than an “ouch.” The entire brow wax only takes a few minutes, and we use gentle wax made for sensitive skin to keep things as comfortable as possible. A little redness is normal, but it fades quickly—leaving you with fresh, snatched brows that make it totally worth it.

You can, but only if you stop using retinol first. Retinol, Retin-A, tretinoin, acne creams, and certain exfoliants make your skin more sensitive and thin—which means waxing can lift or damage the skin. To stay safe, stop using retinol or similar products for about 5–7 days before your brow wax. If you’re using stronger prescriptions like Accutane, you’ll need to wait 6–12 months before waxing.

When in doubt—tell your esthetician. We’d rather reschedule than risk your skin.

It depends on the medication. Some medications—like Accutane, Retin-A, strong acne creams, steroids, chemo therapy, or certain antibiotics—can make the skin thin and sensitive, which means waxing could cause irritation or even skin lifting. If you’re using these, it’s best to wait or ask your esthetician first.

For most other medications (like birth control, antidepressants, allergy meds, etc.), waxing is usually fine—just let your wax specialist know what you’re taking so they can keep your skin safe.

Let your brows grow out a bit—avoid tweezing for at least 2–3 weeks so your waxer has enough hair to shape (about the length of a grain of rice). Stop using retinol, acne treatments, or strong exfoliants on the brow area 5–7 days before your appointment to avoid irritation. Come in with clean skin—no makeup, oils, or lotions on your brows. That’s it! Show up with natural brows, and we’ll take care of the rest.
