Facial waxing removes unwanted hair from areas like the eyebrows, upper lip, chin, cheeks, sideburns, jawline, nose, and even ears.
-
Facial waxing can give a quick sting, but it’s over in seconds and most clients say it’s way easier than they expected. We use gentle wax made for sensitive skin, plus soothing aftercare—so you leave smooth, not red and irritated.
-
To prep for a facial wax, let the hair grow to at least a grain of rice, avoid retinol, exfoliants, or acne medications 7 days beforehand, and arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. Lightly exfoliate the day before (not the same day), stay hydrated, skip caffeine if you’re sensitive, and let your esthetician know if you’re using any skin medications.
-
Yes—when done with gentle wax, proper prep, and soothing aftercare, facial waxing is safe even for sensitive skin.
-
Yes—facial waxing can be safe for acne-prone skin as long as it’s done carefully and the skin isn’t actively inflamed or broken. We avoid waxing over active breakouts, open blemishes, or irritated areas to prevent further irritation. Instead, we work around them and use gentle hard wax that grips the hair—not the skin. If you’re using acne medications like Retin-A, Accutane, or strong exfoliants, you’ll just need to pause them before your appointment to keep your skin protected. Always let your esthetician know if you have been using acne medications so that they can adjust your wax to suite your needs.
-
We recommend avoiding makeup at least 24 hours after your face wax. Your pores are open and skin is more sensitive, so wearing makeup too soon can lead to irritation or breakouts. Let your skin breathe, keep it clean, and you can glam up again the next day.
Aftercare
For the first 24 hours:
Avoid makeup on the waxed areas (foundation, powders, etc.)
Skip retinol, acne treatments, exfoliants, or harsh skincare products
Stay out of direct sunlight, tanning beds, and avoid sunburn risks
No hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or intense sweating
Don’t touch, pick, or scratch the area
Avoid fragranced lotions, oils, or heavy creams on the face
After 2–3 days:
Gently exfoliate to help prevent ingrown hairs and clogged pores
Keep skin moisturized with a lightweight, fragrance-free moisturizer
Always wear SPF—freshly waxed skin is more sun-sensitive
